Appr. 20 friends came to compete in the now already very traditional Foundation end of season event.

It was good fun to see adults and some kids to behave like children and playing slot-racing on the big 1:24 Carrera slot racing track. Quite an interesting layout demanded more than basic skills to get into the run offs. You could spend some time with the old favourites like Corvette, E-Type Jaguar, Ferrari P4 and Porsche Carrera 6 or indulge into Hot Rods. They are heavy beast indeed but due to a strong built in magnet the roadholding is acceptable.

Again this time our reigning Champion Harald of HO-Motors was within the winners circle in the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Trophy Race. Nevertheless the writing is on the wall as Thomas and Philip Ilming, a father and son team from Gollarn, managed to win the same number of heats each. So it was only fair that all three were declared winners of the Sylvester race. As budget was tight, they were sentenced to share one bottle of Champagne.

It was a nice evening and a good start into 2010.

May the force be with us; - all that year.
