Again the ESCC (English Sports Car Club) of Vienna did it.

It’s Boys and Girls made Braunsberg 2009 a fantastic 30th anniversary event.

Drawing attention (and many nice cars) from far and near, it was again a sportscar meeting to feast you eyes on.

Since 1979 this event is run on an annual basis.

117 participants came, saw and raced up this mountain. In fact it is quite a challenging piece of road with a long undulating straight followed by some demanding corners ending in an adverse chamber left hander leading to the plateau.

All the usual suspects like TRs, MGs, Austin Healeys and Lotuses took a bath in the glorious sunshine. The event’s winner was Martin Newerkla, club member of the ESCC with his MGB.
Most interesting car that had it’s debut in Austria was a Hillman Imp based Davrian, - only recently imported by the Fibre Fun Collection.

If you have not been there, you’ve missed something. Come on and make a note to attend in 2010.
