This date marks the funeral of Gottfried, a dear friend of the Foundation’s. Looking back to one summer meeting in his home base in Val near Budapest, Hungary, where we enjoyed his hospitality and shared his visions of classic cars to be restored, it is most difficult to realize that he is dead now, - gone to the great eternal race track in heaven.

Gottfried was a remarkable gentleman, very knowledgeable and an extremely kind person, who had followed Austrian motor sport from the sixties onwards.

He actively drove a nice Ford Cortina MkI and a Volvo in historic rallye events and owned some offbeat cars like Glas and Fiat 600 Vignale Coupe, - together with a garden full of Volvos.

Within the last few years he managed successfully to establish the highly regarded “Motor Sport Magyarorszagon” journal in Hungary.

Always a pleasure to talk to or exchange emails with, he will be sadly missed.

Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Anita and his young daughter.
